This person would mainly conduct comprehensive desk research via the web to collect information on organizations offering software products and services similar to Catalyte’s, which would include hiring assessments / aptitude tests, software development training programs, and tech apprenticeship models. This person would use the data gathered to create an in-depth profile of each organization, and also help to identify other organizations we should track. This person may also present key findings to the product leadership team.
This person should have prior web research experience, be detail oriented, be able to read through lots of information and distill what is most relevant, and be comfortable with creating advanced Google search strings (e.g., using logical/Boolean operators). We would also prefer someone who has some prior exposure to technology (i.e., is comfortable with software terminology) and/or business background, to understand the market insights most interesting to us. Prior competitive research / marketing experience a real plus.
