The concept of an apprentice or apprenticeship goes back centuries. Traditionally, they were a way for people to learn a trade from a master craftsman, in return for helping that person with their business.
The technology industry is now applying that same concept to software developers – offering an apprentice on-the-job-training rather than paying for training at college or a coding bootcamp.
