Microsoft names Catalyte a #BuildFor2030 Hackathon Hero

Put our talent to work

Microsoft selected a team of Catalyte developers as a #BuildFor2030 Hackathon Hero for its development of an application that allows users to rate and review companies on their DEI policies and culture. Microsoft selected only 2% of the over 900 submissions as #BuildFor2030 Hackathon Heroes.

The Catalyte team built the application MVP for Aequalitas in just six weeks using Azure, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, .NET Core, React, Azure B2C and other Microsoft technologies. It supported the UN Sustainable Development Goals of gender equality and empowering communities. Allowing people to understand a company’s DEI policies and culture empowers diverse communities to selectively choose among employment opportunities.

This selection builds on Catalyte’s participation in Microsoft’s #BuildFor2030 campaign, where Microsoft featured our unique ability to discover and develop software developers from nontraditional backgrounds. The application and recognition also continues our commitment to building a more diverse and inclusive tech industry, which was the foundation for our 2021 Microsoft Inclusion Changemaker Partner of the Year Award win.
