RetrainAmerica to become independent organization

Adam Curtis

In May 2020, we founded and launched RetrainAmerica, a platform that connects anyone – regardless of background, education or prior experience – with an opportunity to get retrained for jobs of the future.

Through RetrainAmerica, and in conjunction with Baltimore City and Baltimore Corps, we created a Technology and Software Development Fellowship to create equitable and family-sustaining technology careers, build a sustainable talent pipeline for city agencies, improve community health outcomes and help modernize Baltimore’s IT infrastructure.

Due to the continued need for retraining opportunities, and to bring more partners onboard from variety of industries, we’ve decided to make RetrainAmerica its own independent 501(c)3 organization. Fagan Harris, CEO of Baltimore Corps, will lead the new entity. It has already begun the process of establishing an advisory board and will announce new partner organizations and initiatives in the coming months.

Any organization interested in becoming part of the solution can contact RetrainAmerica at info@retrainamerica.com.
